Marvel First Look: AVENGERS VS. X-MEN

Coming hot on the heels of Tom Brevoort's announcement of AvX: Versus, Marvel Comics earlier today made the first official Avengers vs. X-Men cover images available. The first depicts Iron Man facing off against Magneto, a fight already promoted as being featured in the first issue of Versus, and the second features Black Widow against Psylocke. Promoting what they call "the biggest superhero brawl in the history of the Marvel Universe," the publisher has released a pair of covers by Jim Cheung featuring two of the first big fights in store for the series, as well as unveiling the creative team behind the first issue of the surefire hit: Avengers Vs. X-Men #1 is being credited to writers Brian Michael Bendis, Ed Brubaker, Jason Aaron, Matt Fraction and Jonathan Hickman with art by John Romita Jr. It'll hit stores on April 3 (just two days after the launch of the Marvel Universe programming block on Disney XD).
