Ninja Turtles Casts Watchmen Star As Splinter

With production on the film already underway, Deadline is reporting that Danny Woodburn, who played Big Figure in Watchmen, will join the cast of Ninja Turtles as Master Splinter. Woodburn, who also appeared recently in Mirror, Mirror and has a recurring role on the just-renewed Disney XD series Crash & Bernstein, rounds out the principal good guys after Megan Fox was cast as April O'Neil, with the Turtles themselves being played by Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard and Pete Ploszek. Arrested Development's Will Arnett has been cast in an as-yet-undisclosed role as a villain. Producer Michael Bay had previously confirmed that the film will be titled Ninja Turtles, leading most to believe rumors that the titular characters would no longer be teenage mutants but rather fully-grown (but immature) alien life forms.
