It’s hard to believe The Avengers movie is only a little more than four months away. We’re still waiting on a second official Avengers movie trailer in the United States, but other information about the movie is starting to be released. For example, Marvel has announced what is likely the first of many promotional partners for the movie.
Marvel has joined together with Harley-Davidson motorcycles on an official Avengers movie promotion. No word yet on exactly what the promotion is, but they do have a sign-up page where you enter your information to be the first to know about the promotion. The only hint is that the teaser says “you could be immortalized in Harley-Davidson and Marvel’s The Avengers history.”
Marvel previously partnered with Harley-Davidson on the Captain America: The First Avenger movie. For the Captain America promotion, Harley-Davidson launched an interactive site and ran a sweepstakes with a customized Harley-Davidson motorcycle as one of the prizes. Harley Davidson also distributed a Captain America poster at dealerships, and auctioned off a bike signed by the stars of the movie to benefit Disabled American Veterans.
In Captain America: The First Avenger, Captain America rode a Harley-Davidson replica of the “Liberator” Harley-Davidson motorcycle that was used by U.S. Service Men and Women during World War II. In The Avengers, Captain America will reportedly be riding a more updated Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
