Yesterday, news broke that Tron 3 was given the green light by Walt Disney Pictures and that it would begin filming this fall in Vancouver. Now, we know who will be directing it.

Joseph Kosinski, who directed 2010's Tron: Legacy, will be back to helm the third Tron film for Disney, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Kosinski hasn't directed a film since 2013's Oblivion, but his name was recently attached to the video game-to-film adaptation of Gran Turismo.

Garrett Hedlund ("Pan") is expected to reprise his role as Samuel "Sam" Flynn, son of the Grid's creator Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges). At the end of the last film, Sam was able to escape that virtual reality and get back to the real world. He brought with him the algorithm
known as Quorra (Olivia Wilde). There's still no word yet on if Wilde will be back.

Tron 3 will begin filming on October 5, 2015.
