The final moments of tonight’s episode of Arrow appeared to show Oliver Queen returning to his old, murderous ways, with the Arrow taking out a group of criminals associated with Murmur, the villain who attacked the police station in tonight’s episode.
Of course, anyone who was confused by this was then struck by the next interesting visual of the episode: the face of the man under the hood — who wasn’t wearing a mask and definitely wasn’t Oliver Queen.

…But why?
Well, the obvious is that he’s trying to make his own prophecy about Oliver Queen come true, so that Oliver might be more amenable to making the prophecy about Ra’s al Ghul come true. There’s some symmetry to that.
He’s also clearly sabotaging the reputation of the Arrow, at a time when he’s vulnerable to just that sort of attack with Captain Lance, his closest ally in the police, turned against him.

Meanwhile, Oliver (Stephen Amell) learns about Ray’s new Atom costume and the two have a heated stand-off. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and Ray hit a rough patch. Jess
