Empire Magazine's salute to X-Men: Days of Future Past, revealing 25 different covers featuring characters from the film, continues. The latest cover features Bishop, played by Omar Sy. In X-Men comics, Bishop is a time-traveling mutant with the power to absorb and release most forms of energy. He came from a dystopian future on a mission to prevent a traitor from destroying the X-Men, but the trip cost him his memory of who the traitor was. He stayed in the present day as a member of the X-Men, intent on seeing his mission through to its end. Bishop made his first appearance in Uncanny X-Men #282 (1991) and was created by John Byrne, Jim Lee and Whilce Portacio. In X-Men: Days of Future Past, the ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods.  The characters from the original X-Men film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from X-Men: First Class in an epic battle that must change the past – to save our future. X-Men: Days of Future Past is scheduled to be released in movie theaters May 23, 2014.
