As summer draws closer, 20th Century Fox continues to tease what is rumored to be the studios second most expensive movie ever made (after Avatar). Earlier today, the official X-Men movies twitter account released the image above, along with the text, “Defy the past. Fight for the future. #XMen: Days of Future Past comes out in three months.”The new image shows the older version of Magneto, as played by Sir Ian McKellen, rising up off the ground, as a fire burns behind him. In X-Men: Days of Future Past, the ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-Men: Days of Future Past. The characters from the original X-Men film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from X-Men: First Class in an epic battle that must change the past โ to save our future.ยญX-Men: Days of Future Past is scheduled to be released in movie theaters on May 23, 2014.
