Actors Never Nominated For An Oscar That We Love Anyway

Awards season is the time of year when your favorite actors and actresses are recognized for their brilliant performances over the past year. Or, at least, those who are deemed to have had the “best” performances from the last year are given the award.

Many times, there are performances from the year that don’t get a nomination for the award, let alone the trophy. This means that there are a number of great actors and actresses out there that don’t have “Oscar-winning” before their name.

Popular actors from popular franchises, such as Harry Potter, Avengers, and Hunger Games find themselves on the list of Oscar-less actors in Hollywood. Others actors are household names and have a loyal following, but still find themselves without this coveted award. Many times, actors and actresses that prefer comedy films, franchises, or children’s movies, such as Emily Blunt or Jim Carey, are completely left out of the nominations no matter how brilliant their performance.

But, despite their lack of Oscar, every single actor and actress on our list of Oscar-less celebrities, is great. Each of them has portrayed a character that their fans have loved, such as Ewan McGregor, some have even become synonymous with their part, like Alan Rickman. They have all given amazing performances – even if the Academy doesn’t want to admit it.
