Go Go Power Rangers #3 Cover And Synopsis Revealed

BOOM! Studios' successful Power Rangers universe continues to expand, and now fans can get their first look at Go Go Power Rangers #3.

Issue #2 just hit stands, but that shouldn't stop you from looking forward to the next entry in the flashback series. The book's covers have been revealed, including an insane action sequence for the book's main cover (via Morphin Legacy).

The rest of the covers focus on Zack this month, as he gets a movie homage, a casual clothes cover, an action doll covver, and the next in the series of Locker covers, which gives you a glimpse of Zack's personality.

In the wake of their win against the evil space witch, Rita Repulsa, the newly formed Power Rangers team test the limits of their new abilities when morphed. Meanwhile, Rita plots her revenge by uncovering the Rangers true identities.

Go Go Power Rangers takes place earlier in the timeline than BOOM! Studios' other series, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. While the more epic tales are told in Mighty Morphin, Go Go has a much more intensive focus.

"Since they take place in the same reality, you have to maintain a certain level of consistency, but I've tried to make Go Go lighter in tone and focus each story on the smaller relationships," writer Ryan Parrott told ComicBook.com about the differences between the books. "Why are these kids friends? What do they mean to one another? How do they balance all of the responsibilities? Those are the types of questions that play a big role in crafting the series."

Those Locker variant covers also happen to come in handy. "Are you kidding? The locker ones themselves changed how I wrote the book," Parrott said. "I actually have a folder on my desktop that, whenever I get stuck -- I open it, look at what's in their lockers and go -- oh yeah, that's who these characters are. They're all pretty amazing."
