Earlier this year, Star Wars fans felt like their worlds were turned upside-down when shocking reports surfaced about Han Solo. During a technology conference, Disney’s CEO Bob Iger seemingly revealed that Han Solo was not the space pilot’s actual name, leaving fans to wonder what the rogue’s actual name could be. However, it seems like fans don’t need to worry themselves over the character’s birth name; The president of Lucasfilm just reassured fans that Iger’s comments were simply misunderstood.

Speaking with MTV during Star Wars Celebration, Kathleen Kennedy was asked about Han Solo’s reported alias. It was there the executive said she didn’t believe Iger’s comment meant Han Solo was not the star’s real name.

“I’m not sure that that’s entirely what Bob meant. There’s more to Han Solo’s name, but it’s not that it’s not his name. It’s obviously his name. It will always be his name.”

In context, it appears as if Kennedy is suggesting Iger’s comments refer more to how Han Solo’s name became infamous. You can read up on the CEO and his first quote below:

“That picks up with Han Solo when he was 18 years old and takes him through when he was 24. There are a few significant things that happen in Han Solo’s life, like acquiring a certain vehicle and meeting a certain Wookiee that will happen in this film. But you will also discover how he got his name.”

The Star Wars Universe is filled with memorable names, and Han Solo ranks up there with the Skywalkers. The yet-titled Han Solo standalone film promises to show Han Solo’s youth, so the movie will detail how the smooth-talking pilot became infamous. And, thankfully, it doesn’t seem like Han Solo will be given yet another name to confuse fans with.

Han Solo: A Star Wars Story is filming now under directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller for a May 25, 2018 release. Alden Ehrenreich stars as a young Han Solo and Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca in the era before Star Wars: A New Hope, before they met Leia and Luke and embarked on a galaxy-saving adventure. Donald Glover also stars as Lando Calrissian, with Woody Harrelson, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Emilia Clarke in as-yet-unrevealed co-starring roles.
