When Lucasfilm brought Star Wars: The Force Awakens to theaters, fans had lots of expectations – and the film managed to meet many of them. Plenty were a bit peeved by the lack of Luke Skywalker, but the new Star Wars trilogy brought thrills to audiences of all ages. Even the movie’s shocking treatment of Han Solo went over alright, even if it left fans sobbing.

As fans already know, Han Solo met his end in The Force Awakens after his estranged son killed him. The stunning moment left millions heartbroken, and fans watched as General Leia felt her husband pass unexpectedly. The moment was a somber one, and fans grieved the loss openly. And, now, Mark Hamill says he wished The Force Awakens could have given Luke Skywalker one last scene with Han Solo.

Speaking at Star Wars Celebration, Hamill admitted he had an idea for how Luke could reunite with Han before the latter was killed.

“When I was reading [the script], I thought if Leia is trying to mentally contact me and she is unsuccessful, she’ll rush to his [Han’s] aid and get into some dire situation, and that’s when I show up,” Hamill said. “I save her life and then we rush to Han and then we are in the same position that Rey and Finn and Chewie are; too late to save him, but witnesses.”

Hamill went on to say the failed meeting was a “missed opportunity,” but the star did caveat his disappointment. The actor admitted he does have lots of “terrible ideas” but tends to voice them anyways in case someone likes them.

For plenty of Star Wars fans, they are probably wishing the actor’s suggestion had been seen through.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters December 15.
