The fall television is underway, and our TV Power Rankings is back for Week 9.

Videos by ComicBook.com

The TV Power Rankings is the ComicBook.com official list of the best comic book and genre shows on television. As with last year, we’ll start the list with only shows that are either currently on the air or have a scheduled premiere date.

So how do we decide where shows wind up on the list? We take into account fan buzz, ratings, and critical response, as well as feedback from our readers.

We’ll update the Power Rankings every week, using our criteria as well as your input. We’ve also included a handy poll at the end of the slideshow to give you a voice in pushing your favorite show up the rankings. So be sure to click through to the end and let us know which shows you feel should rank a bit higher.

As a sidenote, this will be the last Power Rankings for the month of November. We’re taking a break for the holiday and will be back in December!

1) Inhumans

Previous Week’s Ranking:ย N/A

This was certainly an unexpected development. Marvel Studios announced a newย Inhumansย television series starringย the Inhuman Royal Family.ย Although Black Bolt and his family were originally destined for the big screen, Marvel’s TV arm will instead head up the project for an ongoing television series.ย

Details are still scarce, but here’s what we know.ย Inhumansย will have an initial order of 8 episodes and will NOT be a spinoff ofย Agents of SHIELD. The first two episodes will also be screened in IMAX theaters over the summer to help build interest in the show.ย

We’ve addedย plenty of analysis and speculation about Marvel’s newest project, including what it means for the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Agents of SHIELD.

ย

2) Westworld

Last Week’s Rankingย #3 (up 1 spot)

Westworldย had its first big twist last week, and it was deadly for one member of the park’s staff. The show revealed that Bernard, the loyal head of programming, was actually a secret host under the control of Ford. After discovering Ford’s secret workshop, Theresa learned the truth when she found Bernard’s schematics, even though Bernard couldn’t see them due to a quirk in his programming. When Ford arrived, he ordered Bernard to murder Theresa without a hint of remorse.ย

While we still have three episodes left this season, HBO confirmed thatย Westworldย will return for a second season…although maybe not until 2018.

3) The Walking Dead

Last Week’s Ranking:ย #3 (down 1 spot)

In last night’s episode, we see just how broken Rick is thanks to Negan. The once proud leader of Alexandria is a mess, desperately trying to appease Negan to keep the rest of his friends alive. Although Alexandria agrees to hand over its guns and mattresses to the Saviors, not everyone has given up home. Rosita, Gabriel, and Carlย all have plenty of fight left and Daryl may have given Rick a clue as to where the Saviors are hiding.ย

Although Season 7 is wrapping production this week, there’s still a ton of twists ahead and ComicBook.com will have all the Walking Dead news and analysis you can possibly handle.

4) The Flash

Last Week’s Ranking:ย #8 (up four spots)

The Flashย returned from its week long hiatus in a big way by introducing Savitar, the new speedster/big bad of the season. Savitar isn’t like the Reverse-Flash or Zoom, as he seems more like a force of nature than an actual person. In other news,ย Star Warsย andย Heroesย actor Greg Grunberg will have a recurring role onย The Flashย this season as a new police detective struggling with the city’s metahumans.ย

5) Supergirl

Last Week’s Ranking:ย #5 (no change)

Supergirlย continues to be different than other superhero shows on television, as its second season seems to be more about characters growing and changing than dealing with external threats. Sure, the Parasite appeared to try to eat Supergirl and Martian Manhunter, but the bigger story was how Jimmy, Alex, and Mon-El each took a big step forward with their own relationships.ย

Next week will pit Supergirl against Cadmus and a new Cyborg Superman, and in two weeksย Supergirlย will help launch the four show “Invasion” crossover.ย

ย

6) Arrow

Last Week’s Ranking:ย #7 (up one spot)

Say it ain’t so, Artemis! In the final scene of last week’s episode, the teen archer revealed she was in league with Prometheus, the throwing star killer with a grudge against Green Arrow. Meanwhile, a new vigilante (appropriately named Vigilante) hit the scene and doesn’t seem to be fond of either Team Arrow or criminals.ย There’s a ton of moving parts this year, butย Arrowย is on pace for its best season in years.ย

7) Gotham

Last Week’s Ranking:ย #6 (down 1 spot)

ย

Barnes’s story seemed to come to an end this week, as Gordonย confronted his boss about his recent string of murders. Barnes was under the effects of Alice’s tainted blood, but it was clear he was past the point of no return as he was totally under the control of the voices in his head. Although Barnes tries to murder Gordon to cover up his tracks, Harvey and Lee managed to help Gordon bring down Barnes and send him to an asylum.ย

Next week will push Nygma’s storyline forward, as he hunts down Butch who he blames for the death of his girlfriend.ย

8) Legends of Tomorrow

Last Week’s Ranking:ย #4 (down 4 spots)

Legends of Tomorrowย had a fun filler episode this week featuring the return of Jonah Hex. While it’s fun to see the new team bonding and Sarah taking charge, there’s still so many questions about the JSA, the Legion of Doom, and Rip Hunter that still need answered. We won’t get those answers next week (due to Thanksgiving) or the week after thanks to the upcoming Invasion crossover.

9) Agents of SHIELD

Last Week’s Ranking:ย #9 (no change)

Agents of SHIELDย is still on hiatus this week, so it’s not moving from the bottom of our rankings. It also had a pretty quiet week, as Marvel’sย TV time was dominated by their big Inhumans announcement.ย

Honorable Mention and Polls

Missed the Cut: iZombie (CW),ย Outcastย (AMC), Preacher (AMC),ย Dark Matterย (SyFy), Riverdale (CW), Fear the Walking Dead (AMC), Iron Fist (Netflix), Lucifer (Fox)

[Note:ย Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and other shows that don’t have an upcoming “premiere date” have been left off the rankings unless there’s some sort of new news about the show, but will be added once a premiere date has been announced.]
