Fans of The Walking Dead love to hate the Saviors. It’s understandable, given their antics on the show, as they’ve assisted in making Rick’s life a living hell all season long.

Elizabeth Ludlow – who portrays Arat – has had to take on the persona of one of those Saviors at work every day. No one had much of a problem with the actress when she first appeared on the series, but the events of the midseason finale saw Arat kill off a fan-favorite character.

With one pull of the trigger, Arat took out Olivia – and no one saw it coming.

In a recent interview, Ludlow revealed how the masses treated her after the episode. For a little while there, it wasn’t pretty.

“I did receive my fair share of negativity for killing Olivia but it was expected. She was an extremely loved character so I had an expectation of negativity when I read the script for that day. The love I have received and continue to receive heavily outweighs the negativity though so it’s easy not to pay attention that stuff.”

While the actress did receive some backlash initially, the fans have responded with overwhelming support since. They all appreciate the work she puts in to bring the Saviors to life, and they show it on social media.

This is just one of the many stories that show that The Walking Dead has some incredible fans. No matter how bad a character can be, the fans have come together to support the show they love.
