It looks like Rick Grimes has struck a deal on The Walking Dead which might lead to him building the necessary army to fight Negan and his Saviors. With the new junkyard gang who goes by the name of “the Heapsters” coming a long, a new bunch of strangers who like to dress in dark colors and keep quiet are added to the political mix of communities set to rally for war.
Through the runtime of Sunday night’s New Best Friends episode, the leader of these Heapsters, Jadis, offered Rick the impression of having never met Negan or the Saviors despite living in some sort of close proximity to their Sanctuary.
In an exclusive interview with ComicBook.com, Jadis actress Pollyanna McIntosh shared her thoughts on an encounter between her character and the menacing Negan.
“There’d be a lot of black, wouldn’t there?” McIntosh said. “I don’t think I’d like Negan at all. His pride and his arrogance would really get in the way, as far as I’m concerned. I would think he would be somebody who would need to be taken down, you know?”
For those fans of the AMC series wondering if this new group can actually be trusted and will hold up their end of the deal with Rick, McIntosh’s sentiments regarding a negative perspective of Negan should be a little reassuring. Of course, she did get bullied into a deal which was not her idea when Rick was not looking to negotiate very willingly. Having been told what to do, Jadis might have a bad taste in her mouth regarding Rick and Alexandria even if he does come through with a delivery of guns.
