When Sonequa Martin-Green was announced as the lead in the new CBS series Star Trek: Discovery, everyone started to worry about her character’s fate going forward.
Did the new casting spell certain death for Sasha?
During an interview with EW, the actress was asked about her future on The Walking Dead, and whether or not Star Trek would affect it.
She seemed to want to avoid answering, but finally had this to say:
“Well, I can’t say anything,” laughs Martin-Green. “I can say that the story is as impactful and powerful and dynamic as it always has been, and there’s nothing to worry about where that’s concerned.”
This isn’t exactly the answer fans were looking for, as it gives very little insight as to what will actually happen to Sasha. With her character drawing parallels to Holly from the comics, folks are thinking that her days are numbered.
Scott Gimple on the other hand, and way more to say on the subject.
