As AMC gears up to broadcast the sixth episode of The Walking Dead‘s seventh season, a common question continues to pop up week to week. Many fans are wondering, “Will Rick be in tonight’s episode?”

In the case of Season 7 Episode 6, titled, “Swear,” the answer is, “No.”

Swear will follow Tara and Heath on an adventure outside of Alexandria, which started late in Season 6. While it has been almost 7 months since fans saw them leave the Safe-Zone for scavenging, for the characters it has only been about a couple of weeks.

Since Rick is not in the episode, though, the question of “Where is Rick?” comes up. Last seen in Episode 7×05, Rick was leaving Alexandria for what he said was a supply run. There are a number of ways that supply run can actually go down.

First of all, there’s the popular morse code theory which claims Rick and Daryl were speaking in morse code when Negan arrived at Alexandria. If they were, in facrt, communicating the location of the Sanctuary, Rick may be planning to strike the Saviors when they least expect it. That said, it seems highly unlikely Rick would act with such haste having no weapons and showrunner Scott Gimple all but debunked the theory while talking to ComicBook.com last week.

The other possibility is Rick will discover the Kingdom. Episode 7×02 saw Morgan and Carol arriving at the new community for the first time but the rest of Alexandria have yet to discover the thriving group. Inevitably, Rick and Ezekiel will cross paths at some point. Let’s hope it is on this supply run and not making us wait until the back half of Season 7.
