4 DC Heroes That The Boys Needs to Roast Immediately (Including One From Superman)

The Boys has made it abundantly clear that there’s more to the superhero world than spandex and saving people. And though we’ve already seen an abundance of thinly veiled parodies of iconic heroes across both Marvel and DC, there are still plenty of heroes that have yet to get The Boys treatment. Here, we’re looking at DC-specific characters that have unique traits, powers, and personalities that would translate beautifully into the show’s irreverent, dark, comedic tone. So, here are our four contenders that are prime for a roasting, offering both narrative flexibility and a chance for laughs at their expense.

4) Black Canary

Dinah Lance aka Black Canary first appeared in 1947 in the Flash Comics issue #86. She’s known for her martial arts skills, leadership in the Birds of Prey, and her signature “Canary Cry” — a supersonic scream capable of incapacitating enemies. While her powers are impressive, they’re also highly situational and, yes, loud. Dinah has been portrayed in various live-action series, including Arrow, where she was depicted as a grounded, skilled fighter with complicated romantic entanglements and more recently the Birds of Prey movie though she wasn’t utilized as well as she could have been.

The concept of a supersonic scream is perfectly in keeping with the style of supes that are corporate-sponsored heroes. Considering Vought has a hand in all levels of entertainment — from DCU-level movie franchises to realty TV — it isn’t that far-fetched to think Black Canary could start off presenting some sort of Vought talent show.

The Boys could exaggerate her as a diva supes who’s more focused on soundproofing her dressing room than saving lives. Her live-action portrayals would make for juicy satire when twisted into the Boys universe. Additionally, the show could lampoon the impracticality of screaming as a superpower in the more… adult ways they like to. Adding in her The Boys diva attitude would bring the chaos, mess and arrogance we know and love from The Boys.

3) Booster Gold

Booster Gold is a time-traveling (so-called) hero from the 25th century who first appeared in 1986 in his own comic. Real name Michael Jon Carter, Booster is known for flashy technology (including owning a time machine), an ego bigger than Metropolis, and a tendency to prioritize fame over genuine heroics. Though he has had various Justice League appearances, Booster is yet to fully reach the mainstream audience outside comic fans. But, have no fear! Booster is on his way to James Gunn’s DCU.

It’s an absolute no-brainer to put Booster Gold in The Boys universe, he is basically made for Vought-style satire. They wouldn’t even really need to change his character. Being the fame and money-hungry person he is, Booster could easily become a walking commercial for Vought products. Selling everything from protein bars to questionable “hero supplements,” even being a pro-Temp-V ambassador. His vanity and opportunism mirror some of the show’s most memorable supe archetypes.

Despite his exterior fame, it’s likely he’d be less praised, and more enslaved by Vought International. Vought could easily keep his time-travel powers a huge secret and secretly utilize him to turn back time and “re-do” saves that were either missed or messed up by the Seven.

Additionally, parodying his futuristic tech could easily come into play for Billy Butcher and The Boys — they could dredge up a parody of the Avengers time-travel chat from Endgame via DC character kit, with the discussion on whether to turn back the clock and eliminate Frederick Vought before he can even create Compound V.

2) Catwoman

Catwoman is one of DC’s most iconic antiheroes, who first slinked onto the scene in 1940 in the Batman #1 issue. Known for her cat-burglar skills, complicated romance with Batman, and morally gray decisions, she’s been interpreted across multiple media, from Michelle Pfeiffer in Batman Returns to Zoë Kravitz in The Batman.

Selina Kyle doesn’t feel like she would be a Vought suck-up in The Boys universe. But she could still live very well within it. Her obsession with sleek costumes, dramatic entrances, and giving off a weirdly sexual vibe makes her ripe for parody. Catwoman would (of course) be a self-interested supe, who has in-roads into all the most powerful and influential groups in the US. She has the capacity to work both as a con artist and extortionist, working for the highest bidder while staying under Homelander’s radar.

1) Metamorpho

Metamorpho, also known as the Element Man, also known as Rex Mason, debuted in issue #57 of The Brave and the Bold in 1965. After exposure to a mysterious meteorite, Mason gains the ability to transmute his body into any element or compound. While his powers are undeniably versatile, his appearance is far from conventionally heroic as he often looks like a patchwork of metals and minerals. He has been a member of various superhero teams and is often grappling with the absurdity of his own powers. James Gunn has of course brought him to life in the 2025 blockbuster Superman, where he was played by Anthony Carrigan.

Though he is a good guy in the DC world, he could easily be turned into a more bitter and dark version in The Boys universe. It practically writes itself — a supe who is simultaneously indispensable and entirely horrifying in appearance.

If they kept his looks similar to the DC Metamorpho, it would make for some interesting dynamics. Vought are in the superhero business, but only if those supes fit a certain “aesthetic criterion”. Keeping Mason’s patchwork skin would definitely get him relegated to the dregs of Z-list Vought celebrities. He would likely be brought in for roles as either as a villain in the Vought movie franchises, or even as a fake Supe-Terrorist. But, if The Boys wanted to keep Metamorpho’s powers and give him regular looks, he could be reimagined as a literal corporate tool. They would us him for PR stunts where he “fixes” the collateral damage made by the Seven, by being forced to create different building materials etc.
