Last month, Syfy officially announced their cast for Deadly Class, the upcoming pilot based on the graphic novel of the same name. Now, the Russo Brothers are giving fans their first look in a new behind the scenes photo.

The Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo, who are serving as executive producers on the Deadly Class television series, took to Facebook to share a photo of the assembled “class roster,” with the caption “Now that’s a Deadly Class…”
For those unfamiliar, set in the late 1980s, Deadly Class followes a disillusioned teen, Marcus Lopez, who ends up recruited to King’s Dominion Atelier of the Deadly Arts, a secret school built under San Francisco that turns the teens from ordinary students into master assasins. Created by Rick Remender and Wesley Craig, Image’s Deadly Class comic has been running since January 2014 and the upcoming Syfy series has been described as a “unique coming of age journey.”
Benjamin Wadsworth, Lana Condor, Maria Gabriela de Faria, Luke Tennie, LIam James, Michel Duval, Henry Rollins, Taylor Hickson, Siohban Williams, Jack Gillet, Sean Depner, Ryan Robbins, and Benedict Wong will star in the series with Adam Targum serving as showrunner with Lee Toland Krieger set to direct the pilot script. Comic co-creator Remender wrote the pilot script alongside Miles Feldsott and earlier this year, Remender spoke out about the show’s pilot order on his Twitter, saying that he felt like the project “couldn’t be in better hands.”
Deadly Class will join several other comic book adaptations on the network. Fan-favorite western Wynonna Earp will be returning to Syfy in 2018 while the Superman prequel series Krypton is also set to debut next year. As of now, Deadly Class does not yet have a release date, but with Wynonna Earp and Krypton around as well as the crazy, pop culture-influenced monster films the network is known for, we think Syfy might just be the right place to bring Deadly Class to life.
