Major Changes Coming To Netflix TV Line-Up In May

On Wednesday morning, Netflix announced all of the titles that will debut on the service, as well as leave the site, when May arrives. This list is usually riddled with a ton of awesome shows and movies that are set to be streamed in the coming month, with a couple of heartbreaks on the “Leaving” list.

However, it looks like Netflix is still losing quite a bit in the way of TV. After April saw the departures of classic shows like Firefly, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Angel, and The X-Files. That trend continues next month, as some other big shows are looking to say goodbye.

It’s not all a down-note though, as there are still plenty of new shows – and new seasons – arriving in May.

Here’s a good look at some of the best additions, and departures, in May’s new Netflix line-up.

New Netflix Original Seasons

Over the past few years, Netflix has released a slew of awesome programs. Shows like House of Cards, Stranger Things, Orange is the New Black, and many others have become popular with audiences, and have received plenty of praise from critics.

In May, the streaming giant is adding a few new seasons to some of its most celebrated series’. Netflix is also debuting a couple of new original series over the course on the month.

Major Shows Leaving

As we said, there is good AND bad news with this new announcement. Even though plenty of shows are being added, there are a few great programs heading to the Netflix graveyard.

Sci-Fi Coming Soon

Netflix was under some heat in April, as it was revealed that sci-fi fans were losing a lot of their favorite shows. 

This month, the service’s agreement with The CW is aiming to help that. The newest seasons of the network’s top shows are heading to Netflix shortly after they’ve finished airing. There just isn’t a solid date listed for these yet.
