McDonald’s gifted Rick and Morty co-creator and executive producer Justin Roiland a 64 oz jug of Szechaun Sauce, a product from a bygone era that found renewed life online after being popularized through a gag in the season 3 Rick and Morty premiere.
“Holy shit,” reads Roiland’s tweet, which pictures the four-pound bottle of the coveted sauce. “McDonalds literally sent us a bottle of the Mulan sauce with a Rick & Morty label,” announces a tweet from the animated series’ Twitter account.

“For use only in McDonald’s restaurants (C-1998M) during limited promotional window, and then maybe again twenty years later,” reads the label. “DO NOT SERVE to mad scientists traveling with their teenage grandson; potential non-scientist versions of mad scientists from an alternate dimension; and/or Jerry.”

The official McDonald’s Twitter account posted an image of three other bottles, with the caption “SOS 073017 2130EST TWTR 3x.5GAL,” referencing the show’s return date to Adult Swim. It’s currently unknown if McDonald’s will resurrect the McNugget delicacy, but Chef Mike did note that “a few lucky fans will also get to experience the glory” of the Szechuan Sauce.

“I want that Mulan McNugget sauce, Morty,” Rick says at the end of the episode. “That’s my series arc, Morty! If it takes nine seasons!” Fans of the animated comedy even petitioned McDonald’s to bring back the sweet nectar of the gods, deeming it “the best sauce known to man,” adding that it would be a “tragedy” for Szechaun Sauce to never make what would surely be a celebrated return in light of Rick and Morty‘s popularity.
Adult Swim began airing the remaining episodes of Rick and Morty season 3 on July 30th.
