‘Rick and Morty’ Fans React to Return of Szechuan Sauce

It’s happening. McDonald’s listened to the overwhelming demand from Rick and Morty fans and are bringing back the Szechuan Sauce for one day only on October 7.

While the supply of the sauce is limited and run out quickly, fans still had a strong reaction to the news that former Mulan movie promotional sauce would make it’s limited return. While most fans are stoked, there are some who are little less than thrilled about their odds — or lack of them — at getting their hands on the sauce.

The excitement is real

The largest response from Rick and Morty fans has been excitement with people already noting that they have to have that sauce.

Others are already making plans to be at McDonald’s the moment they start serving lunch to ensure they get some of the sauce.

And so is the disappointment

For some fans, however, the initial excitement that Szechuan sauce is back quickly gave way disappointment and sadness when international fans discovered that the limited release would take place in selected U.S. locations only.

But one thing is certain

However, it doesn’t really matter if fans are happy or frustrated, everyone could agree on one thing and that is on the impact Rick and Morty had on bringing the discontinued sauce back, even if for just one day.
