Matt Hardy's Total Nonstop Deletion Delayed Due To TNA Financial Woes

TNA has managed to draw more eyeballs to its product than it has in some time thanks to Matt and Jeff Hardy's Final Deletion series of vignettes, and a third entry in the series was planned for this month. If the latest reports are true, that third entry might not make it to production.

If you haven't been keeping up with the drama, TNA is in the midst of a lawsuit (several actually), but the most prominent one is from current TNA President Billy Corgan. Corgan's suit has brought a myriad of issues to light via the accompanying court documents, and the latest unearthed information hovers around the newest Broken Matt Hardy event "Total Nonstop Deletion" (via Inquisitr).

The documents reveal that "Impact Ventures had been planning a 3-day taping scheduled for November 1-3, 2016. However, on October 25, 2016, Impact Ventures postponed that event due to lack of funds." That lack of funds had to do with flying the talent to the Hardy Compound for the shoot, though TNA says that isn't true. TNA Impact Wrestling and Dixie Carter have both claimed that it was due to logistical issues and not financial, as they are merely trying to get the best bang for their buck. There are also reports that Corgan's lawsuit has put a vice on TNA finances, which could also have lead to the postponement.

The bad news is on two fronts, as the Final Deletion events have been huge in bringing audience attention to the product. If the new entry doesn't air, they will lose a bit of momentum, but it isn't permanent damage. On the other side, they do have to air something on December 15, as if they don't they would be in breach of their contract.

Suffice it to say, things have been rough behind the scenes, and until the ownership issues get worked out, things aren't likely to get better.
