There’s a new faction ready to terrorize the SmackDown women’s division! Naomi and Charlotte were unable to find out who was the top dog on SmackDown as they were ambushed by Nattie, Carmella, and Tamina Snuka (with James Ellsworth by their side) during the Women’s Championship match tonight on SD Live.
The group, who seemed to form a bond over a common jealousy towards their peers, savagely attacked both Naomi and Charlotte to end the evening standing tall as a united front.

While the grouping between the stars seems a bit random, it does allow for Charlotte to turn babyface; a role she hasn’t played in a long time. Charlotte has played the heel brilliantly over the past year, but it’s possible WWE doesn’t feel Naomi is strong enough to carry the crowd against the more experienced former Raw Women’s Champion.
With Charlotte and Naomi likely to form an alliance over their common enemy it could do wonders it getting the crowd to support both women. The only question is does the new alliance have enough clout to be viewed as serious threats? Considering how few wins they’ve racked up in the past year it seems unlikely, but then again, Jinder Mahal is currently walking around with the WWE Championship, so perhaps SmackDown truly is the “land of opportunity.”
.@NatByNature, @CarmellaWWE, and @TaminaSnuka seem to be VERY proud of themselves for their attack on @MsCharlotteWWE and @NaomiWWE. #SDLive pic.twitter.com/Tz8suq6jOO
