New Details Surface In Anthem And Matt Hardy Dispute

The ongoing saga of Anthem Entertainment and the Broken Hardy family has thus far been quite eventful, and new details continue to surface as to why this became an issue in the first place, and why Anthem has chosen this line of action.

Most of those details came from Reby Hardy, Matt Hardy's wife. Anthem pushed a tweet previously that really rubbed Reby the wrong way, essentially taking credit for the "Broken Hardy" gimmick that Matt, Jeff, and Reby have made famous for the last few years. Reby took to Twitter to sound off on that claim, airing out some of TNA's previous issues with the Hardy clan and taking Jeff Jarrett specifically to task. Anthem earned her ire once again when they decided to send out cease and desist letters with verbiage from their actual contracts to networks, including Dish, which pulled out of airing last night's Ring of Honor pay-per-view.

Reby tweeted "UPDATE: TNA sending "spooky" letters to cable providers threatening to sue if they air Hardys. Trying to screw ROH & ruin wrestling for fans". She later took Dish to task for pulling out of the event, saying "Ayy @dish. You're the only cable provider who pu***** out to TNA's threat. DO BETTER by wrestling fans who support you & the talent !" She added, " Irony is, Matt's contract did not include exclusivity; could have legally appeared on ANY televised program WHILE UNDER TNA CONTRACT..."

As for Matt, he posted a message to the fans on Twitter as well, saying "#HouseHardy will continue DELETING & the DELETE chants will NEVAH end..."

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Anthem does not want to use the characters after the Hardys are no longer there, but they do want to profit off of them. The reason for the standoff is that they want to come to an agreement where they get a cut of future proceeds. It doesn't sound like Reby or Matt want any part of that, but it remains to be seen if they'll do it just to move on with their careers.
