The Undertaker returned this week to send a message to let RAW’s resident Big Dog, Roman Reigns, know that the WWE was indeed still his yard. The exchange now puts the two on a clear path to a match at WrestleMania 33.

While many are assuming Roman Reigns will pick up the victory, WWE Hall of Famer and long time voice of the WWE, Jim Ross has the perfect idea for how the epic match should go down.

Good Ol’ JR posted a new blog entry over at his website giving his thoughts on various topics, including the Reigns Taker battle.

“Taker/Reigns interaction was money. Loved the choke slam and so did the fans in the great, wrestling city of Chicago.

I’d likely put Reigns over in Orlando via cheating to gain an unfair advantage as it would facilitate Reigns leaving WrestleMania with immense heat and bragging rights to carry Roman farther down the road. That obviously sets up the eventual ‘face turn which will make Roman Reigns the huge, fan favorite, face of the company talent that has been WWE’s focus for a long while.”

I couldn’t agree with Jim Ross any more, but unfortunately, I don’t see it happening. If Vince’s handling of John Cena over the past decade is any indication, Roman Reigns will stay exactly the same for the forseeable future.

How many times have we thought “this is the perfect chance for John Cena to embrace the hate and turn heel” only to have him stay the exact same. Vince sees big money in Roman Reigns as the superhero to replace Cena when he’s off running the entertainment world.

The entire reason Vince decided to reportedly scratch John Cena’s match with Undertaker this year is because he felt like Taker’s time was dwindling and he wanted to be certain that The Phenom had the chance to pass the torch to The Guy before his career came to an end.

It’s much more likely we’ll see their match end with the typical “show of respect” hand raise than a Roman Reigns heel turn.
