It's been 10 years since Bill Goldberg stepped into a WWE ring, and while his last match with the company was anything but great, fans received the WCW power house with open arms last Monday night. Not everyone though is sold on Goldberg's return.

To be fair, it's possibly more to do with Goldberg's opponent rather than Goldberg's overall skills, but both are areas were mentioned ina recent episode of The Ric Flair Show (via CageSideSeats). The hall of famer took Goldberg to task for his upcoming bout with Brock Lesnar, who happened to be Goldberg's last opponent in WWE.

According to Flair, Lesnar's intensity has only increased since that last encounter, while Goldberg will surely be shaking off some ring rust, and doesn't really understand what he's in for.

"The t-shirt and it's all over everywhere, he sells that t-shirt, Suplex City. Whoever is going to work with Brock Lesnar, whether he [has] gotten smarter, he's not going to change his style and he's going to get suplexed, not just once, not twice, but at least 10 times and I don't know if Bill's ready for that. You're off for a couple of months, much less 10 years, you're going to get in the ring and you're going to wrestle Brock Lesnar the first time around? Ha! Good luck with that! That's just the way it is. His body is not used to it and Brock is a whole different can than spearing Ric Flair, okay? Correct? I mean, I just don't think Bill is going to be physically up for that, myself. I mean, it might look good on paper, but, God, because Brock is 10 times more aggressive now than he was the last time he wrestled Bill."

Flair raises some valid points, as anyone who's watched a Brock Lesnar pay-per-view match knows. His opponents have become accustomed to getting suplexed around the ring constantly, and even wrestlers who have been heavily active can take a beating from it, nonetheless someone who hasn't really wrestled in 10 years and is 49 years old.

Still, Goldberg appears to be in great shape, and his recent comments haven't given any indication that he isn't taking this seriously. Only time will tell if the two can truly deliver on the potential that their last bout failed to.
