WWE superstars have had to adapt to the age of social media, and most have used it as a natural extension of their television personas. Even without a heel or babyface slant, some just excel at using the platform, including The Viper Randy Orton.
Orton is now part of the powerful Smackdown Live stable The Wyatt Family and is enjoying yet another successful arc with the company. Orton is always up for answering questions sent his way on Twitter, and user @Chris_The_King2 recently asked him "do you think you can whoop @TheNotoriousMMA ass if he transitioned to Wrestling in the WWE?" The Notorious MMA is the handle for UFC's Conor McGregor by the way (via IWNerd).
Orton fired right back with a nice jab at the popular fighter, saying "If he gains 120lbs I'm here. Until then, #205Live bro"
There has been a great deal of interest as of late regarding UFC fighters moving to the WWE, including Ronda Rousey, McGregor, and Paige VanZant. Brock Lesnar has moved between both companies successfully, and there are many who believe they can do the same thing. It remains to be seen if McGregor will ever head to the WWE ring, but if he does, you can bet it won't be on 205 Live.
When I have more $ then the history of your family tree (could be next week) too bad for u I luv wut I do. Keep watching mark https://t.co/rkNjnViRuN— Randy Orton (@RandyOrton) January 10, 2017
Orton wasn't finished spitting fire either. He was asked when he will retire, to which he said "When I have more $ then the history of your family tree (could be next week) too bad for u I luv wut I do. Keep watching mark."
In other words, not anytime soon.
