After thirty years, the World's Greatest Jobber has been released from his contract at the WWE.

Steve Lombardi, more famously known as the Brooklyn Brawler (and at one point the Boston Brawler) was the company's best jobber and wore many hats during his tenure with the WWF/E. He portrayed Kim Chee, Kamala's handler, the second Doink the Clown after the original Matt Osborne was fired for numerous drug offenses, MVP (not to be confused with Montel Vontavious Porter), and another baseball-themed character Abe "Knuckleball" Schwartz.

The Brawler would become one of WWE's most known characters even though he was considered a part-time in-ring competitor. Lombardi would participate in several gimmick battle royales and used in comedy skits later on in his career.

Lombardi worked behind the scenes later in his career, even sharing camera time with John Cena on the WWE.com's segement "Five Questions With The Champ", which utilized Lombardi's face being used everytime a swear word was used.

While never winning a single championship during his time with the company, he did manage to win a Slammy Award in 1994 in the Worst Idea category. At the time, Abe Schwartz went on strike, which mirrored the MLB strike that was going on at the same time. Art imitates life afterall.
