WWE: Who Is La Luchadora?

La Luchadora-mania is sweeping over Smackdown Live. Last week, the goofy, non-descript lucha libre outfit was worn by Becky Lynch as she fooled Alexa Bliss into thinking an easy victory ahead of her.

This week, as Alexa defended her championship against Becky Lynch, La Luchadora appeared again! This time, however, the conquistador throwback was attempting to cost Becky Lynch a shot at regaining her Women’s Championship.

After only two weeks, the mystery woman has taken the wrestling world by storm. Fans quickly took to Twitter during Smackdown to speculate on who was hiding behind the mask.

Based on what information we know, thse are our top guesses for the true identity of La Luchadora.

Tamina Snuka

Pros: Rumors have it that Sunka is on her way back to the main roster any day now. The daughter of the Superfly really didn’t get much of a good run her first time around. Hopefully, the former bodyguard is

Cons: I really think this could be the right pick, but last night’s Luchadora looked slightly shorter than Tamina to me. 

Deonna Purazzo

Pros: Deonna was set to fight Alexa Bliss on the December 13th edition of Smackdown, but was viciously attacked before the match by Bliss. Who replaced her? Becky Lynch! Also, a random person has confirmed it on Twitter!

Cons: Would she be a big enough surprise to valid wearing the mask?

Mickie James

Pros: She has been rumored to be called up to the main roster any day now. What better way for the former TNA knockout to make an Impact than to add some mystery to her return to the WWE?

Cons: Masks can be deceiving, but that didn’t look like the former WWE divas champion under there. My Luchadora sense is telling me it’s not Mickie James. 

Daria Berenato

Pros: She’s in NXT and she tweeted a “well deserved YES!” to American Alpha on last night’s Smackdown. Is it possible Daria made that tweet because she was backstage when it happened? Backstage putting herself into full body spandex?

Cons: No one really has any clue who she is yet. 

Fabulous Moolah

Pros: One of the sneakiest women’s wrestlers in the history of the WWE once dressed up as The Spider Lady to win back her women’s championship from Wendi Richter. Also, the high waisted drawers seem perfectly fitting for a woman of Moolah’s experience. 

Cons: Moolah passed away in 2007. 

Natalya

Pros: If Natalya’s new gimmick is that she attacks people in secret then waits a few months to let them know she did it, it would make total sense for her to have donned the pink and blue tights to go after Becky Lynch!

Cons: If you look at the Luchadora photo closely, you’ll see no traces of cat hair, thus ruling out the Hart family diva. 

Starman

Pros: The same exact nondescript pink body suit with blue accents. 

Cons: 8 bit Nintendo character. 30 years old. Male. All signs point to no.
