WWE superstar Paige has been noticeably absent from television, a move that surprised fans as her her recent suspension was done as of August 17th. Now we know why she has yet to make a return to the squared circle.

Some had suspected that injuries sustained before her suspension were the culprit, and those reports have turned out to be true. Paige shared her current status with fans in a Twitter post, and it looks like she will need to undergo surgery before she can make her return.

"Thanks to Dr. Uribe yesterday. One of the best doctors I've seen. Gave me two great surgery options. Makes you think about risk you have to take when it comes to this business, the things you purt your body through to entertain the masses. Still wouldn't change it for the world. Thanks to everyone for the continued support."

She also added the caption "Been quiet for a while. Time to get the neck fixed so I can come back and kick some ass. 😊🙏🏻."

Dr. Uribe is the same doctor who performed the successful spinal fusion surgery on Nikki Bella, who made her return to the ring at this year's Summerslam. It is unknown what procedure Paige will need to undergo, but the injuries are focused on her neck and back. If you are looking at a similar recovery time, Paige wouldn't return to the ring until early to mid next year. Bella also had to adapt a few of her movies as a result, and Paige might have to do so as well.

The good news is she is on the road to being 100 percent, and hopefully, she will return at full strength and ready to start the next phase of her WWE career. While the landscape might change, you can take a look at a few feuds she can get right into when she makes her long awaited return.
