Marvel Credit Cards Launch

While we don't have access to the cool powers that most of our favorite Marvel heroes do, we can still try to keep pace with some small powers of our own

Like getting 3% cashback on purchases at the Marvel.com store.

Okay, that would probably lead to one of the worst superhero names ever, something like Cashback-Man or the 3-Percenter, but hey, you have to start somewhere right?

Marvel has teamed up with Synchrony Financial to offer a new Marvel Mastercard, which will earn you the above mentioned 3% cashback on Marvel.com store purchases, but also 1% on any purchases made with the card.

"The Marvel MasterCard provides payment flexibility, cashback rewards and exclusive benefits for cardholders," said Tom Quindlen, executive vice president and CEO, Retail Card, Synchrony Financial. "We're excited about our relationship with Marvel and the value this new card will bring to loyal Marvel fans and others who enjoy the benefits of a cashback program on dining, entertainment and merchandise."

While the other perks, like 10% off purchases made on the Marvel.com store every day and a $25 statement credit after your first purchase are fine and all, most will just want it for the slick card designs.

"Marvel fans will undoubtedly be delighted to carry and use these lively card images, and proudly show affinity for their favorite Marvel Super Heroes," said Joe Quesada, Chief Creative Officer, Marvel. "The card designs creatively represent some of the biggest Marvel heroes and further emphasize what it means to show your Marvel pride on a day-to-day basis."

All the designs are sleek, especially that Spider-Man one, though I am sad to see the X-Men blackout is still in effect here. Still, if you're going to have a card, might as well be one with Rocket and Groot on it right? You can find out more about the card here.
