Marvel And Netflix Release Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, & Punisher Montage

San Diego Comic Con is heating up as Marvel lit fans up with a whole list of new teasers, announcement, and updates at their panel this evening. While the studio released new images for its Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and The Defenders series, the studio kicked everything off with a sizzling montage of its current Netflix productions.

The clip starts off with Karen Page’s voice echoing in the background, asking “What is it to be a hero?” The clip goes on to interweave Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage together as the trio works separately throughout the city of Hell’s Kitchen. Karen’s voice-over continues, telling audiences that heroes “live amongst us” and “are rarely recognized.”

Clearly, given the anonymity that these three vigilantes possess, it’s safe to say their heroic deeds often go unrecognized in their daily lives. But, once they put on their suits or boots to go fight the wars civilians could never win, that’s when these three characters shine.

Stringing together the shows’ most dramatic clips, this sizzling teaser nearly becomes a trailer for The Defenders. Well, that is, if it weren’t missing one very important Danny Rand. While Iron Fist may be absent from the line-up, fans were clearly hyped for this release as SDCC attendees have flocked to social media, claiming the entire hall was chanting the heroes’ names after the clip aired.

The clip even surprised some fans as it gave a nod to Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle/Punisher as the man can be seen looking down the scope of a rifle. His voice then can be heard over the background saying, “One in the chamber. Bang, bang.” Clearly, The Punisher was included in the montage as Marvel confirmed they were developing a solo series for the character, but little information regarding the series has been released beyond that.

What do you all think of the clip? Do you think it shows all the best part of Marvel’s homegrown heroes?
