Bursting into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Captain America: Civil War was only the beginning for Peter Parker and the 19-year-old Tom Holland portraying him. He has a standalone film right around the corner and couldn't possibly sound more excited for it.

Speaking to Holland after Marvel's Hall H panel at San Diego Comic Con (where they showed the first footage from the film), we heard all about how great he feels when he puts on the Spidey suit and starts slinging webs.

"It feels great," Holland says. "It doesn't feel great when it's like 4 o'clock in the morning and I'm tired but it's so realistic and it looks so good, it's like a shame that it's not real! But it's great and it's such a pleasure to wear it and I feel honored that they've given me the opportunity to don the suit and I'm just so grateful."

Of course, we had to ask Holland if the suit would be changing or upgrading at all from the version which we saw in Civil War (and we almost had him!).

"You'll see a side... You know what? I can't say it!" Holland burst out, before concluding, "It's gonna be amazing. The suit is so cool."

Young both in age and his career, Holland has been hurled into a universe loaded with accomplished and impressive actors. He'll be acting with the likes of Robert Downey Jr., Marisa Tomei, an Michael Keaton when his film rolls around.

"I was thinking today, in the green room before we came on stage looking at the whole MCU, thinking what an amazing bunch of people that is," Holland says. "What a talented group of actors and it's a privilege to be amongst that. The cast we've got on Spider-Man is wonderful. They're the nicest people and we get on so well and I think it's bringing a lovely pedigree to the movie and I can't wait to see what audiences think."

Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters July 7, 2017.
