Mystical Items of Doctor Strange
When Marvel announced a Doctor Strange solo movie, most people outside of die-hard comic book fans [...]
Book Of The Vishanti
Even Doctor Strange needs a guide book on how to be the ultimate successor to The Ancient One. It's just not possible to memorize every single spell in the entire world including other planes.
Much like the Boy Scouts Handbook, The Book Of Vishanti holds an infitine amount of useful wisdom and a wealth of applicable knowledge.
There is only one copy left and Doctor Strange has it, after it was bequethed to him by The Ancient One - the greatest gift a sourcerer could ever recieve from their mentor.
The Book of the Vishanti is written by the Vishanti, a triune of mystical beings consisting of Agamotto, Oshtur, and Hoggoth. Over the years many other sages added their own spells.
It is the greatest known source of white magical knowledge on Earth. The ancient pages contain spells of defensive magic that can not be destroyed, not even by the darkest of evil magic.
Every known counter-spell known to the mystical arts is printed on the time-worn pages, giving Doctor Strange every possible spell he may need to protect Earth's dimension.
prevnextThe Cloak Of Levitation
The fancy ruby red cloak that Doctor Strange wears is not just a hip fashion statement.
While most wizards and witches wear cloaks just to let everyone know they can perform magic spells, Doctor Strange's cloak serves several important purposes.
The Cloak of Levitation gives him the ability to float and fly, in a much more effective way than using a flight spell, and with enough gusto can reach up to 25 miles per hour. Or he can stand on top of it and hope it functions properly as a magic carpet.
As the most prominent part of his wardrobe, it also acts a shield because of it's durability, offering protection and also as a weapon, due to its ability to ensnare evil opponents. It can also alter its shape to grab onto ledges or other objects if Doctor Strange finds himself in trouble
Just in case the weather is a bit cold for Strange, The Cloak Of Levitation can also take the form of a scarf.

prevnextThe Sash
Much like any superhero, every aspect of Doctor Strange's outfit is functional, even down to the Sash wrapped around his waist.
His trendy sash is actually a magical, unbreakable rope that can extend to any length needed. In any situation, we all know to never forget the rope.
During battle, Doctor Strange can use his sash much like Spider-Man uses his web shooter - to hang on to buildings, climb buildings, save himself from falling off of a cliff after being pushed by negative energy.
Although his sash in the movie is not bright yellow like it is in the comics, we still expect to see him use it.
prevnextOrb of Agomatto
Doctor Strange has his very own crystal ball, however his is much more powerful than anything in the universe.
The Orb of Agomatto was created by Agamotto, one of three mystical beings whom Doctor Strange draws his powers from. He was a member of the ancient Vishanti triad and created a number of mystical items that are now in the hands of Doctor Strange.
The Orb is kept in a seperate room called the Chamber of Shadows within the Sanctum Sanctorum. It rests peacefully in a display case until Doctor Strange needs to use it.
With the Orb, he can see what is happening in other ethereal dimensions and locate others who are using magic.
When the Orb is connected with the Eye of Agomatto, it can be used to jump between different dimensions and planes, like a door of sorts.
prevnextThe Eye Of Agamatto
No, that is not a glowstick hanging around the neck of Doctor Strange. It is his most powerful and most sought after mystical item in his arsenal - The Eye of Agamatto.
SPOILERS AHEAD
The Eye of Agamotto is likely holding the bright green Time Stone (an Infinity Stone), one of the two Stones not yet seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
According to past interviews with Kevin Feige, Strange can use the Eye of Agamotto to manipulate time and alter reality.
The Time Stone's power is to control time. It was harnessed Agamotto, and became "The Eye of Agamotto." It has been protected by the Masters of the Mystic Arts ever since, and was last seen used by Doctor Strange to defend Earth against Kaecilius and Dormammu.
Considering that Doctor Strange has been confirmed for Avengers: Infinity War, we can safely assume that is has something to with his posession of the Time Stone inside of The Eye of Agamotto.
