Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is moving full steam ahead with promotions now that the film is exactly a month away from releasing in theaters. On December 16 2016, millions of dedicated Star Wars fans will descend onto their local movie theaters to experience the first of many standalone Star Wars films from Disney.

Two new TV spots were released today, giving Star Wars fans a glimpse at more galactic action scenes and Jyn Erso's rag tag team of rebel fighters.

The first TV spot (above) showcases the comradery of the Rebel fighters as they come together and take on a very dangerous mission to steal the Death Star plans. Every member of this special ops team is there to help each other make it out alive.

The second TV (below) spot titled "Together" focuses on lead character Cassian Andor (Gabriel Luna) and his undying dedication to the Rebel Alliance. He once served as a captain and intelligence officer in the Alliance to Restore the Republic's Intelligence branch during the Galactic Civil War.

Now, he has recruited many to join the ranks of Rebel forces to take down the Empire, which is just beginning to rise to ultimate levels of power within the galaxy.

Directed by Gareth Edwards, Rogue One is the first of the new standalone features from Lucasfilm and Disney, which take place outside the core "Skywalker Saga" of films noted by an Episode number. Rogue One tells the story of the small band of rebels that were tasked with stealing the plans to the first Death Star. The story spins directly off the opening crawl from the original Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope. In that crawl, it read: "Rebel spaceships, striking from a hidden base, have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire. During the battle, Rebel spies managed to steal secret plans to the Empire's ultimate weapon, the DEATH STAR, an armored space station with enough power to destroy an entire planet."
