When Guardians of the Galaxy returns next summer, the gang of extraterrestrial heroes will apparently be joined by a familiar blue face. Fans were introduced to the Ravager Yondu in the first film as the surly man acted as Star-Lord's surrogate father, but the two parted on bad terms. However, footage of the film from this year's San Diego Comic Con hints that the two men have come to some sort of truce, and now Michael Rooker is commenting on the relationship.

ComicBook.com's Brandon Davis had a chance to speak with Michael Rooker at Heroes & Villains Fan Fest in Atlanta, and the actor had a few notes to give about Yondu.

"I'm just as blue as before, and I have a great mohawk," the actor joked after being asked how his character has changed since the first film. "I love the new look. The new mohawk is fabulous."

When Rooker was asked about Yondu's alleged alliance with the Guardians of the Galaxy, the actor kept details to a minimum but said there's always grey areas in relationships. "There's always a little grey area," he stressed, "and grey area is fun to do too."

Davis also took a moment to ask Rooker whether he could confirm or deny his involvement with Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War, but the actor kept mum. He said he could do neither, so fans may still see the alien cameo in the action-packed ensemble. So far, fans know that the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, and Wong are slated to star in the much-anticipated film.

Set to the backdrop of 'Awesome Mixtape #2,' Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team's adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill's true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes' aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.
