Anthony Mackie & Sebastian Stan Roast Tom Holland As Spider-Man

Both the Winter Soldier and the Falcon suffered a pretty humiliating defeat in Captain America: Civil War. During the climactic battle at the airport between the forces of Iron Man and Cap, the two took on the fresh faced Spider-Man in that character's debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

And they got their butts whooped. So it makes sense that actors Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan might have a bone to pick with the younger Tom Holland.

YouTube user Shana Fierce compiled videos from various press appearances with both Stan and Mackie where they talk all sorts of crash about their young co-star, who is set to receive his first solo film in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Check out the clips above and see for yourself.

Mackie and Stan are both pretty hilarious when it comes to making digs at Holland.

"Every two hours, he has to have a Capri Sun break for his juice box," Mackie said.

"He actually has someone who carries a towel for him," Stan added. "What is that?"

"Tom's an a**hole," Mackie said in a later clip, while Stan comments that he uses "a lot of hair gel."

Yikes. The Cap sidekicks sure did take the beating personal.

It's obvious they're joking, but it's pretty amazing to see such dedication to a running gag. They just make up new mean things to say about the actor whenever an opportunity arises. Thankfully they're not appearing in Spider-Man: Homecoming, or else they'd be making the press rounds and continuing their campaign of hate.

We expect Stan and Mackie to have a lot more jokes in the run up to Avengers: Infinity War next year.

Spider-Man: Homecoming swings into theaters on July 7.
