A frustrating bug preventing players from accessing Pokemon Go's Legendary Raids have been fixed. Earlier this week, we reported that some players were unable to enter Raikou raids, as Pokemon Go refused to load the 3D model for the raid boss.

For whatever reason, Pokemon Go would load up the image assets related to the gym, but not the Pokemon, which would then cause the game to freeze and then lock players out of the raid. The frustrating part of the bug was that even restarting the app wouldn't fix the glitch, so players needed to restart the app with their GPS turned off in order to get the bug to correct itself.

Yesterday, Pokemon Go's community liaison commented on Reddit that they implemented a server side fix to correct this frustrating issue. Players should no longer get locked out of Raikou raids (or raids involving any other Raid Bosses) due to an error loading image assets.

This, of course, is good news for Pokemon Go players, especially with EX Raids coming soon. The last thing players would want is to get an invitation to battle Mewtwo and then get locked out because the game wouldn't load Mewtwo's model.

The bug was a side effect of a larger bug that randomly stops Pokemon Go from loading up all of its Pokemon models. That bug unfortunately hasn't been fixed, so players still might see random holes in their Pokedex, or their trainer avatar doing funny things. However, all those image bugs seem to be harmless and won't prevent anyone from playing Pokemon Go.

We'll have more Pokemon Go news coming later today, so be sure to follow our Facebook page to stay up to date.
