If you've been hopeful that Ghost Rider will return to Marvel's Agents of SHIELD, you're not alone.

ComicBook.com's Brandon Davis got a chance to chat with SHIELD stars Clark Gregg and Chloe Bennet during this weekend's New York Comic Con. When asked if Robbie Reyes/Ghost Rider (played by Gabriel Luna) will appear in the show's upcoming fifth season, the pair said that it's certainly in the cards. Check it out in the clip above!

"[Gabriel] did such a good job." Bennet explained. "So maybe he will come back. Maybe. We legitimately don't know, is the fun part about that."

"Yeah, but I'd be surprised if you didn't see him back on our show at some point," Gregg added.

Gregg went on to explain that Ghost Rider might not return to SHIELD right away, seeing as the fifth season's upcoming plot takes things to an intergalactic scale.

"Some of the story that we're telling at the beginning of this year, sort of precludes the possibility of Ghost Rider being around so far." Gregg revealed. "But he was a fan favorite and he was a cast favorite."

As Gregg put it, Luna's portrayal of Ghost Rider was something that the show, as well as its audience, didn't realize that it needed.

"We love what our show did with him." Gregg added. "We kinda felt like it was a version of Ghost Rider that the world had needed. And I love the Robbie Reyes of it all too, that that was the version they went [with]."

Marvel's Agents of SHIELD will return to ABC on December 1st, with a special two-hour premiere.
