As you've probably figured out by now, there has been an awakening within Star Wars fans. Stormtroopers, lightsabers, and droids are everywhere from red carpets, to press conferences, to even the White House.

President Obama welcomed both famous droid hero R2-D2 and First Order Stormtroopers into our nation's captiol yesterday to take photos as the First Couple celebrated the release of The Force Awakens.

There was even a video from the White House's Instagram account showing R2's entrance into the building.

Of course, the President prides himself on not just being a Star Wars fan, but an equal fan of Star Trek as well.
