With Rogue One: A Star Wars Story coming later this year, it looks like Disney certainly isn't afraid to explore the past in between new installments of the core franchise.

One of those points in time could very well be centered around Obi-Wan's time in the dessert, and specifically what happens in between Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope. When Collider asked Obi-Wan actor Ewan McGregor about it previously, he expressed interested in wanting to do it. When they caught back up with him recently, he decided to clarify his stance on the subject.

"If they asked me to, I would be happy to. But it looks like I am campaigning for it, just because I get asked about it, all the time. So, I would like it to be known that I don't bring it up, at these interviews, of my own free will. I only respond to questions I'm asked to. I don't know anything about it. They've never approached me about it."

The good news is he still seems up for the project if it actually ever comes to fruition, but in the meantime, we should probably let him be regarding it until there is something more concrete to talk about.
