For many countries, the wait for Doctor Strange has ended. The much-anticipated film debuted in several foreign markets last week, and critics seem to be loving the mystical movie. Prior to its release, Doctor Strange stunned netizens with its perfect launch over at Rotten Tomatoes. And, now, the film has been certified ‘Fresh’ with a 92% rating.

The newest Marvel Cinematic Universe movie has more than 85 reviews attached to Rotten Tomatoes, and 79 of them are ‘Fresh.’ The site’s critics consensus synopsis describes the mind-bending film as a “thoroughly entertaining” superhero origin flick. You can read the full description below:

With its current rating, Doctor Strange sits as one of the Top 5 Highest-Ranking MCU properties on the website. Luke Cage nabs the top spot at 96% while Agents of SHIELD follows at 95%. Iron Man and Jessica Jones take the next two slots with 94% and 93% respectively.

The film’s ‘Fresh’ status is just one of several accolades that Doctor Strange has been gifted this weekend. Today, box office numbers for the film’s international earnings confirmed its global appeal. Doctor Strange debuted to $86 million worldwide, a number which smashes previous predictions of a $55-60 million opening. The gross puts Doctor Strange ahead of the international premieres of Ant-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and Thor: The Dark World.

Korea was the most enthusiastic market for Doctor Strange. And, out of the 33 countries where the film is already playing, Doctor Strange amounts of 45% of those markets’ overall reach.
