Dark Horse Finally Orders New Berserk Manga

It has been three years since we have seen Guts the Black Swordsman swinging his giant sword in a new volume of the Beserk manga in America. However, the wait is soon coming to an end, because Dark Horse has a new volume scheduled for 2017. The last volume (38) of the popular manga by Kentaro Mirua, was released in Japan on June 24, 2016, and it is now scheduled to be coming to American fans.

Dark Horse commented on the release saying:

"After over three years of anticipation by fans, from creator Kentaro Miura (Giganto Maxia, Japan, King of Wolves) comes Berserk Volume 38, a sprawling adult fantasy epic of fierce imagination!"

The company also released a summary of the new volume,

"On July 5, Guts the Black Swordsman and company will reach the isle of Skellig in hopes that elven magic can cure the afflicted Casca, but the cure could come at a deadly cost. Meanwhile, Guts's Band of the Hawk comrade Rickert journeys to the city of Falconia, the seat of power for Griffith, the resurrected former Hawks commander. But the glittering towers of Falconia cast the darkest of shadows, and a legion of demonic monstrosities dwell in the darkness!"

Beserk is one of the longest running and most popular seinen anime ever published in North America. The manga has also recently come back into popularity as it reentered the New York Times best-selling manga list.

The new volume, Berserk Volume 38, is now available for peorder on Amazon.com and will release on July 18, 2017
