It looks like the sophomore season of Legends of Tomorrow will be airing longer than viewers had initially thought.

The second season finale was initially expected to air on Tuesday, March 28th, following an episode of The Flash. But thanks to some reworking of The CW's schedule, the finale episode will air the following Tuesday, April 4th.

This is by no means the first time that Legends' second season schedule has been reworked. Aside from the switch from the show's Thursday night timeslot to Tuesday night, the second season's overall order was extended from thirteen episodes to seventeen episodes.

The most interesting thing about this is that Legends will air in The Flash's timeslot on April 4th, and will be followed by the third season premiere of iZombie. The Vertigo Comics-inspired series was expected to air a two-hour premiere that night, but will instead air a one-hour episode.

The week after Legends' season finale, The CW's schedule for Tuesday nights will be The Flash, followed by iZombie.

While Legends has gained fans in the show's second season - and will return for a third in the fall of 2017 - viewers will have to wait an extra week to see the Legends conclude their battle against the Legion of Doom.
