Next year, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will mark its tenth anniversary with a rather large gift. The franchise will roll out Avengers: Infinity War, a massive blockbuster which will team the Avengers with the Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, and more. The ensemble venture is one that is ten years in the making, and the movie’s star are as excited about the project as fans themselves. Chris Pratt seems to be particularly pleased with how Avengers: Infinity War is shaping up these days. After all, the actor did just say the movie will stand the test of time during a recent interview.

Pratt spoke with the Toronto Sun during his press tour for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. It was there that the actor was asked to describe Avengers: Infinity War after he said his new Marvel films is the “biggest spectale movie of all time.” Here is what Pratt had to say:

“Well, so far, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is the biggest spectacle movie of all time โ€” that is all time up until now. Avengers (Infinity War) is going to be a pretty big spectacle. I think you’re talking 40 heroes โ€” that is a huge spectacle. I was using James’ vernacular by calling Vol. 2 the biggest spectacle of all time. I heard him say that and I thought, ‘That sounds right.’ But I have to amend that,” he said.

“I think this sequel transcends the genre in a way. It’s a deep motion picture and something different than just a big spectacle film. There’s a difference between dime-store novels and literature and this is like literature. It’s going to stand the test of time. It’s maybe this decade’s movie, if not a longer period of time.”

Pratt will make up just one of the many parts which have come together to create Avengers: Infinity War. The highly anticipated feature stands to be the culmination of the MCU thus far, and its dealings with Thanos will fundamentally alter the franchise’s future. Pratt and his Guardians team will get to play a supporting role in the feature, and his part in the movie will surely be heralded for some years to come.
