Ever since Peter Parker first made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Captain America: Civil War, fans have wondered what exactly the newest live-action adaptation of the character will bring. This includes the web slinger’s suit, which was upgraded by Tony Stark during Civil War and appears to include a wide array of features.
According to Peter Parker himself, Tom Holland, the costume will continue to surprise fans – and Peter – in Spider-Man: Homecoming. While speaking to CNET, Holland explained that the suit has a surprising amount of upgrades, even likening it to a certain popular smartphone.

“The suit is almost like the most advanced iPhone ever, you know?” Holland explained. “It can do so much. It helps him track people and it helps him listen into conversations and it helps him pick out threats and stuff. It’s just a really, really cool, fun way of integrating modern technology into a superhero from back in the day.”
Holland teased that fans will see Peter discover the technology onscreen, which will lead to quite a few bits of comedy.
“I think one of the exciting things about the movie is Peter doesn’t even know the bells and whistles of the suit. There’s a lot of surprises and there’s a lot of things that happen without him asking it to, which is funny. And there’s a really, really funny bit in the movie when that happens.”
