Freeza just cannot leave the Dragon Ball series well enough alone. The baddie made his debut in Dragon Ball Z, but Freeza has been revived on more than one occasion. Dragon Ball Super brought the villain back to life on a temporary basis for its on-going ‘Universal Survival’ arc, but it seems Freeza has plans to extend his resurrection.

Now, it looks like Freeza just needs to get his hands on the Super Dragon Balls.

Dragon Ball Super returned this weekend with a brand-new episode, and Freeza popped into its story with his nefarious smirk going strong. The villain took the time to knock Cabba out of the Tournament after the Saiyan had a touching moment with Vegeta. The boy promised to resurrect his master should Universe 7 get annihilated, but Freeza didn’t seem keen on letting Cabba use the Super Dragon Balls for such a wish.

After all, Freeza has his own plans for the items.

By the episode’s end, fans were shown a close-up of Freeza as he narrated his thoughts aloud for everyone. The villain said he is “the one who’s going to get the Super Dragon Balls and control the gods.”

Freeza refused to shed any light on what controlling the gods would entail, but fans know enough to guess it wouldn’t be good. The Universe 7 villain has an uncanny need to cause mayhem, and his self-serving attitude is one that makes him the perfect villain. If Freeza is somehow able to enslave the Gods of Destruction like he did with the Saiyan race, then the Tournament of Power fighters need to stop Freeza before he can get his wish granted.

Dragon Ball Super‘s “Universal Survival” saga is part of the recent simulcast agreement that sites like Crunchyroll and Funimation have scored. Dragon Ball Super airs on Crunchyroll Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. CST. Toonami airs the English dub on Adult Swim Saturdays at 11:30 p.m.
