Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Debuts Premiere Synopsis, Character Designs

It's really happening, Naruto fans! While March may mark the end of an era for Konoha and its ninja, a new story about the Hidden Leaf Village is on its way. Naruto Shippuden is expected to wrap for good at the end of March, but the beginning of April will usher in a new Naruto anime. A sequel spin-off titled Boruto: Naruto Next Generations will make its way to television and follow the village's new ninja following the Fourth Great Ninja War. And, now, fans know what they should expect from the anime's premiere.

In the most recent issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, the publication released the first full synopsis of the anime's first episode. You can check out the summary below, but beware! Spoilers are abound!

"The son of Uzumaki Naruto the 7th Hokage , Uzumaki Boruto! While he was on his way to the Ninja Academy, he finds Kaminarimon Denki who got himself involved with a few delinquents. After which he noticed that Denki's chakra has become warped, and he is acting strangely…"

As fans have already been told, the Boruto sequel will kick-off with an original story not featured from any manga or novelizations. The new tale will introduce fans to Denki who they first saw in Boruto's first TV spot. The quiet boy somehow manages to snag Boruto's attention, and he may just have something to do with Naruto and his pensive expression in the trailer as well.

The magazine also included a set of character designs for Boruto. The characters featured are Boruto Uzumaki, Sarada Uchiha, and Denki.
