Netflix just started offering anime last year, and at first there were not many good offerings. But since it started, the streaming giant noticed that the demand is greater than they imagined and they started improving their selection. This show follows the story of Sinbad, starting from his childhood, as a young man born into a crazy war torn world. We see him grow into the lovable leader that he ends up becoming. This series is a a blast and is full of action, adventure, history, and political issues. It is one of those shows that once you start you will not want to end and is perfect for binging on a slow night during the weekend. Rurouni Kenshin

Rurouni Kenshin is one of the most well known 90s anime of all time. If you are a fan of samurai at all you have to watch this show. The series is known for its characters, building a deep back story and story for each of them. The story takes place in the Meiji period in Japan. It follows the former assassin Hitokiri Battosai as he turns a new leaf and becomes known as Himura Kenshin, a wandering swordsman who took a vow to never take another life and protect the people of Japan. This series is full of a captivating story, unique characters, and over 90 episodes to keep you watching. 

 

Gurren Lagann

Gurren Lagann is a joy ride, that keeps the viewer captivated and entertained from beginning to end. It is a unique show that is full of amazing animation, amazing story, and the show has a spirit about it unlike any other. This is a show that is impossible to describe because it is all over the place in the best way. It has action, comedy, fan service, mechs, and cheesy awesome music. Ajin: Demi-Human

Another Netflix original about the mysterious immortal humans known as “Ajin”. They are labled a threat by the government, but when a perfect student finds that he is part of this minority things get confusing and interesting. This show is essentially a horror movie, a dark story that explores the evil side of humanity, and makes you think about things on a deeper level. This is a show that you are going to want to just sit down and watch from beginning to end, because every episode expands more on the story while focusing on key elements. This is not the show for the feint of heart, but is quite the thrill ride.

This is an anime that revolves around music and the way it connect pole and how it affects their relationships and emotions. It is full of gorgeous animation, awesome characters, and the music is what makes the series so amazing.
