He Never Goes Super Saiyan 3
In every respect, Vegeta has outdone the Super Saiyan 3 transformation. He was able to assume the non-canon Super Saiyan 4 state in Dragon Ball GT, and the character even managed to go Super Saiyan God on his own. However, Vegeta has yet to go Super Saiyan 3. By the end of Dragon Ball Z, heroes like Goku and Gotenks could achieve the form, but Vegeta was left in the dust at Super Saiyan 2. Clearly, the hero is able to amass enough power and ki to enter the long-awaited state, so maybe Vegeta keep that particularly transformation to himself.

Poor Vegeta; Toriyama is not your biggest fan. In the past, the creator has confessed he does not hold the Saiyan in a particular good light. As such, it was no surprise to hear Toriyama chose to kill of Vegeta when the character got too popular with fans. In a previous interview, Toriyama admitted he only listened to fans' opinions about Dragon Ball when he wished to betray their expectations. For, when fans pleaded with him to keep Vegeta alive, Toriyama thought it would be a great time to kill him off. But, don't worry - we all know death does not last for long in Dragon Ball. Vegeta wasn't able to stay down for too long.

That's right! Vegeta is an older brother, but you can't be blamed for not knowing his full family tree. After all, the Saiyan's young brother Tarble was only briefly introduced in an OVA back in 2008. During the special, fans watched as Tarble came to ask Vegeta to help him get rid of some of Freeza's soldiers who were causing him problems. The blip would have been left alone and disregarded from the canon, but then Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods referenced the younger brother when it debuted. Bulma asked if Tarble could be summoned to help Goku get Super Saiyan God powers, but Vegeta had no idea where his kin had run off to.

It may seem like Goku has the upper-hand when it comes to his rivalry with Vegeta, but that is not quite the case. Whenever the two have battled, there is never a clear cut winner. During their first full-on showdown, Vegeta was crushing the battle in his Great Ape state before his tail was cut off. Afterwards, it was then Gohan who rendered Vegeta unconscious. In other battles, Vegeta has come out on top, but it is never because of sheer power alone. When they squared off during the Buu Saga, Vegeta won a round against Goku by tricking the gullible Saiyan.
prevnextHe Has Killed Lots Of People
In the Dragon Ball franchise, people die; That is just what happens. While the core characters inevitably find themselves revived, a slew of villains and side characters have perished during the anime's tenure. You can thank Vegeta for that.
Out of the core fighters, Vegeta has racked up a very impressive body count. During his youth, Vegeta annihilated an entire planet of humanoid bugs because he felt like it. Under Freeza, the Saiyan was required to conquer plenty of planets and rid them of natives. Those acts alone would give Vegeta a massive bounty, but the Saiyan went on to kill characters like Nappa and Android 19. Oh, the entire Ginyu Force...and Android 15...and Cooler. The list just goes on and on.
